I need a massage...taking applications

Uuuuggghhhhh...I'm a frazzled kitty.... I really really need a break. Right now is a unusually tough time in school and I have a lot going on. When I should be sitting in the library concentrating on a DCF model for a property purchase in Brazil I am writing on my blog. I need a BIG glass of wine and a massage, among other things. Any volunteers? ;)

Why I will never be a Ping Pong Champion

We had a ping pong tournament today for all of the MHAs. My slot was at 12:15 and I was over it by 12:16. I never really played sports as a kid because I have a short attention span and I prefer to play by myself ;). I played two games to 21 and it was the longest 20 minutes of my life. I suppose I am no Forrest Gump. Happy Saturday everyone!

I am a rubik's cube

Tonight I was in my PJ's when I hear a little knock on my door. My friend was working at an on-campus event and she wanted me to come.....Ahhhhh...ok! I put on my jeans and headed to the event. The theme of the night was Rubik's cube and it got me to thinking. I am like a Rubik's cube, colorful, all mixed up and impossible to figure out. I mean, most of the time I don't even know what is going on. Telling someone I am a Rubik's cube is probably not the best pick-up line but shockingly accurate...no wonder I'm single ;)

Valentine's Day....should I smile about it or poke myself in the eye with a hot knife?

I have chosen the former. Almost every year I lock myself in a dark room, eat a lot of ice cream, drink a few bottles of wine, watch chick flicks and cry....imagine the intro to "Bridget Jones Diary" but even more depressing.

But not this year! I have decided to put on a happy face and get over myself. Besides, I have a feeling 2012 is going to be my year. I made cards for my classmates, I am wearing pink (which to be honest isn't a stretch for me) and have been cheerful all day. To be fair, I will probably drink a lot of wine tonight but it will be with all of my single friends as a celebration. Sexy in Spain, Single in Switzerland....what's next?.....I'm not going to answer that because it isn't fit for publication ;)

Hi, It's real life calling....do you remember me?

Today we had a important group meeting for one of our classes. We decided to have the meeting at our group mates apartment in downtown Lausanne so we could get off campus for a few hours. It was either the best or worst idea ever. Her apartment was amazing. She set up a beautiful brunch for us and we worked in real grown up environment for four whole hours. It made me recall my own apartment and my couch, my bed, my lime green pots and pans....my life. It is amazing going to school in Switzerland but it was a bit of a reality check that real life is waiting for us on the other side. It's exciting, it's terrifying, it is so very uncertain.

Where will you be 6 months from now? A year? A month? A day? I don't know what my future holds just yet, but the one thing I am certain of is that my phone is ringing and it's life calling on the other end...I better pick it up before it goes to voice mail.
